Partner’s Secretary
About the Role
You will provide dedicated secretarial support to one or more Partners, working closely with them to ensure their time is used efficiently and effectively. The role requires high-speed audio typing, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
- High-speed and accurate audio typing of letters, emails, reports, meeting notes and other documents
- Diary management and scheduling meetings, calls and appointments for the Partner(s)
- Screening and handling telephone and email enquiries on behalf of the Partner(s)
- Drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondence and client documents
- Filing, scanning and maintaining accurate electronic and paper records
- Organising travel and accommodation as required
- Liaising with clients, internal staff and external professionals with professionalism and confidentiality
- Supporting the wider administration team when required
About You
You will be an experienced and highly organised individual with a background in a professional services or legal environment. Key attributes we look for include:
- Proven experience supporting senior staff in a professional office or law firm
- High-speed audio typing (minimum 60 wpm preferred)
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Friendly, helpful and approachable manner with a team-focused attitude
