Corporate Tax Associate
Founded in 2001 by Andy Moore, Moore Scarrott is an innovative and progressive firm of Chartered Accountants based in Somerset, with a national client presence from Cornwall to Scotland.
Due to our continued success and growth, an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated individual to join us as a Corporate Tax Manager.
This position will require the individual to organise their own time, support the group in an advisory role working across all areas of the business providing added value to our clients, alongside management of the corporate tax compliance function.
As such, the ideal applicant would be experienced in corporate tax, is able to work in a fast moving and high-pressured environment and can work well under their own initiative and with input from senior members of the Group.

Role & Responsibilities
- Corporate Tax Compliance.
- Corporate Tax planning and advice.
- Client relationship management
- Cross business collaboration.
- Corporate structuring, restructuring, re-organisations, succession planning and strategies.
- To share in staff management and development responsibilities for the junior members of the Group in respect of corporate tax matters.
- To deliver excellent client service by delivering on deadlines agreed with the client.
- Ability to manage a busy workload, with multiple projects being handled at the concurrently.
- Assist the managers with managing their client portfolios.
- Experience of Corporate Tax restructuring projects.
Key Requirements
- Holder of a recognised professional accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA preferred.
- CTA qualification is preferable but not essential. Individuals with substantial experience in corporate tax are welcome to apply
- A minimum of five years’ practice experience.
- Likely to come from a small to medium sized firm or have relevant experience of directly serving clients, proactively and commercially, in this type of environment, but be looking for an exciting new challenge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Having an attitude characterised as enthusiastic and positive, self-motivated and focused.
- Possessing a creative approach to reaching solutions for clients.
- Hard working and willing to work flexibly and travel on occasions where required.
